Simple to install, this sonic cat scarer can be set up within seconds. Effective in all weather conditions, it also provides 50% more coverage than other cat repellers on the market. One unit can protect a garden of up to 40 feet in length. For larger gardens the repeller can be used solely to target problem areas or in multiples to cover the entire area. The ultrasonic frequency emitted is inaudible to humans, so will not hinder your enjoyment of your outdoor areas.
The Sonic Cat Repeller is a humane cat deterrent. As well as being completely harmless to cats, it has no adverse affects on other garden wildlife such as birds or fish.
Using an advanced Passive Infra-Red (PIR) detection system, the Sonic Cat Repeller can monitor an area of 120 sq m - 98 degrees arc up to a distance of 12 metres. At the first sign of movement in this area, the LED indicator at the front of the unit is activated, triggering the Repeller to release a burst of ultrasound on a variable frequency of 18-24,000 Hz, which cats cannot tolerate, thereby driving them out of the garden.
The unit is battery-powered and, as the PIR detection system enables the unit to stay on standby between periods of activation, this conserves power and prolongs battery life.
To check that the Repeller is working correctly and to listen to the frequency, there is a test button on the front of the unit that reduces the sonic frequency to an audible range.
